Abstract: The project aims to investigate the higher harmonics arising during the spiral-in phase of compact binary systems in possible configurations of the Einstein Telescope. The research involves the use of numerical waveforms, the calculation of time-dependent detector responses, the determination of signal-to-noise ratio values, as well as Fisher matrix analysis and, where applicable, parameter estimation. A key objective is to investigate the extent to which higher harmonics aid the early detection and localisation of gravitational wave signals, as well as the determination of distance and other parameters.
